Intro to Mindfulness + Belly Breathing

TIME: 10 minutes

TEACHER PREP: It is optional to preload a sound from Calmsounds.com to softly play. If you choose to have soft music playing during the Belly Breathing tool, reiterate to students that their focus should be on their breath; music is playing to set the tone for a calm environment.   • Students will be able to define Mindfulness and understand its benefits.
  • Students will be able to focus on the present moment through belly breathing.
